Celebration Service

On January 2, we will have a Celebration Service during our 10:00am worship.  This will be a time to share how we have seen God’s hand of blessing, mercy, comfort, provision and strength in our lives.  We will give praise and thanksgiving back to God for the many ways He cares for us especially through the church body.

Christmas Services

We will be having our regular worship service at 10:00am on Sunday, December 19.  The choir will be providing special music during this service.  There will be Children’s Church for those children ages 5-12.

A Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is planned for Friday, December 24 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.  This is a special opportunity to invite guests to gather with our church family to celebrate the anticipation and joy of our Savior’s arrival.  Come and enjoy Christmas carols, a special children’s skit and a brief message by Dick Altman.  This service will be streamed live on our website for those who are unable to attend.

GriefShare Support Group

There will be a 14-week GriefShare Support Group beginning at the church on Monday,  November 1, 2021 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  You will find help and encouragement after the death of a loved one.  Let us help you through your grief journey.  Workbooks are $15.00 each.    If you have any questions, see Jean Priestap or call the church office (419-866-1332).

Church Picnic on September 26

The Church Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, September 26 immediately following the worship service outside under the tents.   All are welcome (newcomers, friends, past attendees, occasional church visitors).  There will be inflatables for all ages.  Come dressed casually and bring your own lawn chairs and any lawn games you would like.  The meat and drinks will be provided.  Those attending with last names beginning with A-L are asked to bring a dessert.  Those attending with last names beginning with M-Z are asked to bring a salad or side dish.  Be sure to bring your food in coolers or food safe containers ready to serve.   We have a signup sheet in the foyer for you to volunteer your help for the picnic.  Please sign up or contact Scott Bernhard.

Believer’s Baptism

Next Sunday, October 10, will have a Believer’s Baptism  in the Sanctuary following the worship service.  Water baptism is an outward sign or testimony of the inward work of the Holy Spirit, who baptizes the believer into the Body of Christ.   (Matthew 3:11, 1 Corinthians 12:13)   In doing this, we identify ourselves with our risen Lord and Savior.  If you are ready to publicly declare your faith as a follower of Jesus Christ,  please talk to an Elder.

Child Dedication Service

There will be a CHILD DEDICATION SERVICE on Sunday, November 7 during the morning worship hour.  We place a very high priority on the Christian family—godly parents bringing up their children “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4).  An important part of the parents’ obligation to their children is to pray earnestly for them dedicating them to God for His salvation and their spiritual growth.  Many parents want to make a public declaration of their desire to dedicate themselves to this task, and in so doing ask the body of believers to join them in prayer for their children.  Please see an Elder is you wish to dedicate your child.
