Celebration Service

On December 31, we will have a Celebration Service.  This will be a time to share how we have seen God’s hand of blessing,  mercy, comfort, provision and strength in our lives.  If you feel led to share a brief testimony of God’s working, please contact one of the elders by December 24th.  We will give praise and thanksgiving back to God for the myriad ways He cares for us especially through the church body.

Christmas Services

We will be having our regular worship service at 9:30am on Sunday, December 24.  The choir will be providing  special music during this service.   There will be no Sunday School on the 24th.

A Christmas Candlelight Service is planned for that evening from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.  This is a special opportunity to invite guests to gather with your church family to celebrate the anticipation and joy of our Savior’s arrival.  Come and enjoy Christmas carols,  special music presentations and a very brief message

Ladies Annual Christmas Tea

Ladies, our Annual Ladies Christmas Tea “Pondering Christmas” is coming up on December 7 from 6:30-8:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.  This is  always a time of warm fellowship and a time to prepare our hearts for the Christmas season.  There are invitations available on the table in the foyer for you to use to invite friends and family.   There is also a sign-up sheet on the table for those who would like to contribute food for the Tea.  Please designate whether you are bringing hors d’oeuvres or dessert.   If you have any questions, see Bethany Neumeyer or Cathy Buckenmeyer.

Mitten Tree in Fellowship Hall

The Mitten Tree is now in the Fellowship Hall.  Pioneer Club is asking for donations of warm weather accessories (gloves, hats, mittens, scarves and blankets) for the people downtown at Mosaic Ministries.  We are collecting for all ages (men, women and children).  Bring your donations to church by December 17 and hang them on the tree.  Once the tree gets too loaded…feel free to put them under the tree!

Lifting Up 2017

Thursday, November 30, 2017 is the day Mosaic Ministries is hosting a silent auction and banquet in support of the needs of children in South Toledo.  Since 2007, their goal has been to use the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the priority of education to attack poverty in this historic residential community.

This free event will start at 5:30pm at Parkway Place, Maumee and include a silent auction, dinner, and a chance to hear Bob Lupton, a Christian community developer, entrepreneur and author, whose life’s work has been the rebuilding of urban neighborhoods where families can flourish and children can grow into healthy adults.

The goals this year are to provide for the cost of hosting a thriving preschool in our building and providing for the operating needs of the overall ministry.

You can REGISTER NOW using this link to have your space confirmed and receive event email updates.

Coffee and Conversation

Hello Ladies! We are excited about our next Coffee and Conversation being planned for Thursday, November 2 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the home of Becky Borck.  Jean Priestap will be our guest speaker sharing on the topic of “Transitions”.  This is her story about how God has helped her during some of the most difficult transitions in her life.  We are planning to serve tea and coffee along with a light supper of tea sandwiches, scones and light desserts.  Please come and bring a friend! If you would like to help with food, please see Chris Dudley.

New Ladies Sunday School Class Begins October 15

We would like to begin an interactive, relationship-building time for older and younger women together, based around Paul’s exhortation to women in Titus 2.  This Sunday School class will be using Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth’s teaching from the Adorned book and supporting materials.  The first class will be on Sunday, October 15.  There is a signup sheet in the classroom with a column to request a book if you would like one.  Please see Jill Kutz or Becky Borck if you have any questions.
