Our Core Values

Our Core Values

It is the desire of Christian Fellowship that all ministries and activities function in line with these Core Values.

Core values provide a strong foundation for a church. They guide decision-making, shape the church's culture, and help to unify the congregation. It is the desire of Christian Fellowship that all ministries and activities function in line with these Core Values.

We value what the early church valued as seen by what ‘they devoted themselves to’ as revealed to us in Acts 2:42-47 and Ephesians 4:12-13. These Core Values are listed below:

  • Prayer (Acts 2:42)
  • Praise & Worship, Remembrance (Acts 2:42,47)
  • Care for All (Acts 2:45)
  • Fellowship (Acts 2:42)
  • Expository Preaching/Teaching (Acts 2:42-43)
  • Discipleship: Equipping the Saints for the work of the ministry (Eph 4:12-13)
  • Evangelism (Acts 2:47)
  • Missions (Acts 2:47)

Essentials underlying these Core Values

To carry out these Core Values, we believe the following are essential in the body of Christ:

Grace-Dependence

Grace dependence is essential because God’s grace is necessary for God to get the glory as the source of that very grace.

Scripture-Driven

We seek to ground all that we think and do both individually and as a church, not on human wisdom, but on “the word of his grace” (Acts 14:3), by the leading of the Holy Spirit, in the fear of the Lord.

Humility

Humility is essential because it is a necessary virtue for dependence on grace (2 Cor 3:5), submission to the authority of God’s Word, and Biblical unity (Philippians 2:1-4)

All Built upon the Foundation of Jesus Christ (1 Cor.3:11)
