Redirected Attention, Empowered Mission

Jesus' final words to His disciples in Acts 1:6–8 reorient their focus from anxious speculation about earthly kingdom timing to a divine certainty of spiritual mission empowered by the Holy Spirit. Occupied with the expectation of a restored political Israel, they are redirected by Christ to the sovereign reality of God's universal rule, where human knowledge is limited and divine authority is absolute.
