Photos from church picnic

Here are some photos from Ken Falls to enjoy from our Fall church picnic last Sunday, September 8. The weather was perfect, the food delicious and the mood festive. Everyone enjoyed the games, inflatables and ice cream machine with all the fixings. Thanks to Sarah Dudley and Hannah Pannenberg for all their hard work putting the picnic together and also to all the extra people who helped with the setup and tear down.

Celebration Service

On September 1, we will have a Celebration Service during our 9:30 worship.  This will be a time to share how we have seen God’s hand of blessing, mercy, comfort, provision and strength in our lives.  We will give praise and thanksgiving back to God for the many ways He cares for us especially through the church body.

Ice Cream Social Church Picnic Sept. 8

Our annual Church Picnic will be held on Sunday, September 8 immediately following the worship service outside under the tents.   All are welcome (newcomers, friends, past attendees, occasional church visitors).  The theme this year will be an Ice Cream Social.  There will be inflatables for all ages as well as lawn games (corn hole, kan jam, etc).   Come dressed casually and bring your own lawn chairs and favorite lawn game.  The meat, drinks and ice cream will be provided.  There will be signup sheets available starting Sunday, August 25 for everyone to volunteer to bring specific food items for the picnic.  Be sure to bring your food in coolers or food safe containers ready to serve.  Many volunteers are needed.  If you can help set up and/or tear down, please sign up on the sheet in the foyer or contact Sarah Dudley or Hannah Pannenberg.

Men’s Competition Night

Be sure to come to the annual Men’s Competition Night on Saturday, June 29 starting at 6:00pm at the Altman’s home.  There will be a cookout with games and a bonfire in the evening.  This is a night of great food and fellowship.  All men are invited.  Why not use this as an opportunity to reach out to a neighbor?  If you have any questions, please see John Dudley.

New Ladies’ Sunday School class starts April 28

We will be starting a new Ladies’ Sunday School class on April 28 entitled “Children of the Day” by Beth Moore.

Join Beth on the Thessalonian shores as you face real crises, real medical diagnoses, real afflictions, real relationships, real doubts, real concerns, and real fears. Let the tide wash your eyes with fresh vision. Don’t let pride or timidity come between you and the presence of God. Press in tightly. This is your journey to the shores of Thessalonica where you’ll write your name in the sand.

The books cost $15.99 each.  See Becky Borck or Cathy Buckenmeyer if you have questions.
