Celebration Sunday

On May 6, we will have a Celebration Service.  This will be a time to share how we have seen God’s hand of blessing,  mercy, comfort, provision and strength in our lives.  If you feel led to share a brief testimony of God’s working, please contact one of the elders by Saturday, May 5.  We will give praise and thanksgiving back to God for the myriad ways He cares for us especially through the church body.

Men’s Competition Night

Be sure to come to the annual Men’s Competition Night on Saturday, May 12 starting at 5:00pm at the Altman’s home.  This is a night of great food and fellowship.  Why not use this as an opportunity to reach out to a neighbor?  If you have any questions, please see John Dudley.

Easter Sunday Worship Changes

Easter lilly

There will be TWO different services of worship on Easter Sunday morning (April 1):

9:00 AM – Remembrance Service with communion

10:00 AM – Fellowship Time

10:30 AM – Worship Service

Tom Borck will be sharing a message during the Remembrance Service and Mark Ramsey will be giving the message during the Worship Service.

The Praise Team and Choir have been busy preparing songs for both services.

We will NOT have Adult or Children’s Sunday School on Easter, however there will be Children’s church during the 10:30 am Worship Service but not during the Remembrance Service.

Between the two services, there will be a time of fellowship downstairs in the Fellowship Hall.  We are asking people to bring Easter breads (cut and ready to serve) to share during this time.

GriefShare Support Group

There will be a 12-week GriefShare Support Group beginning at the church on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  This class offers help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend.  Workbooks are $15.00 each.  We have placed a sign-up sheet on the table in the foyer for you to register for this class.  If you have any questions, see Jean Priestap or Cathy Buckenmeyer.

Watch for copies of the proposed 2018 budget to be published and available for review in the next few weeks.  A question and answer meeting will also be scheduled in February which is open to anyone in the congregation to discuss the budget report prior to the Congregational Meeting.

Easter Choir practice begins

We have chosen some wonderful choir music to sing on Easter Sunday (April 1).  Please consider joining us this season to sing of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The first choir practice will be on Tuesday, February 20 from 6:30-7:30pm.  If you are interested in joining the choir, please see Carol Stanik so she can prepare a music book and CD for you.
