Easter Choir practice begins Feb 28

The choir will be singing on Easter Sunday (April 9).  Please consider joining us this season to sing of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  The first choir practice will be on Tuesday, February 28 from 6:30-7:30pm.  If you love to sing and are interested in joining the choir, please see Carol Stanik so she can prepare a music book and CD for you.

 

 

Annual Congregational Meeting

Our Annual Congregational Meeting will be on Sunday, February 26 during the Sunday School hour (approx. 11:15 am.).  Please plan to attend since we will be voting on the new budget and other church matters.  In order to cast a vote, you must be a doctrinal signer, at least 18 years of age, and have attended Christian Fellowship for at least one year.  (If you would like to sign a Desire for Fellowship form, please see one of the elders.)

Copies of the proposed 2023 budget will be available in the next few days.  A Question and Answer meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 23 at 6:30pm to discuss the budget report prior to the Congregational Meeting.

 

 

 

Christmas Services

We will be having our regular worship service at 9:30am on Sunday, December 18.  The choir will be providing special music during this service.  Josh Heaston will be our guest speaker.   There will be Children’s Church for those children ages 5-12.

A Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is planned for Saturday, December 24 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.  This is a special opportunity to invite guests to gather with our church family to celebrate the anticipation and joy of our Savior’s arrival.  Come and enjoy Christmas carols, a special children’s skit and a brief message by Mark Priestap.  This service will be streamed live on our website for those who are unable to attend.

On Christmas Day, December 25, we will have our regular worship service at 9:30am.  Josiah Leinbach will share a special Christmas message.  There will Children’s Church available for those children ages 5-12.

 

 

 

Christmas Ladies’ Night Out

There is a Ladies’ Night Out Christmas Party scheduled for Thursday, December 1 from 6:00-9:00pm at the home of Carol Altman.  Come for a fun evening of Christmas food, fellowship, games, a manicure station and crafts!  There is also an optional white elephant gift exchange and ugly sweater contest.  You may even have a chance to Christmas shop.  All ladies 18 and older are welcome.  Please bring a snack, dessert or hors d’oeuvre to share.

 

Harvest Dinner-November 13

We are planning our annual Harvest Dinner for Sunday, November 13 after Sunday School (12:00noon).  It is also Mission Sunday and we will welcome Josh Heaston, Christian Emphasis Director of the Indianapolis YMCA. He will share the message and  will update us on what the Lord is doing in the YMCA right now.  Don’t miss our church Thanksgiving dinner.  The church will furnish the turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy.  Be sure to stop and see Tammy Tucker in the lobby after the service to reserve your place at the table and sign up to bring a side dish.  The deadline to register is Sunday, November 6.

 

 

 

 

Choir practice begins Nov. 8

It’s only October but it is time to think about joining the Choir to sing for Christmas on Sunday, December 18 during the worship service.  The first practice will be on Tuesday, November 8 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.  Won’t you consider joining us this Christmas season?…every voice is welcome.  Contact Carol Stanik if you are interested in participating this year so she can have a songbook and CD prepared for you at the first rehearsal.

 

 

Church Picnic on September 18

The Church Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, September 18 immediately following the worship service outside under the tents.   All are welcome (newcomers, friends, past attendees, occasional church visitors).  There will be inflatables for all ages.  Come dressed casually and bring your own lawn chairs and any lawn games you would like.  The meat and drinks will be provided.  Those attending with last names beginning with A-L are asked to bring a dessert.  Those attending with last names beginning with M-Z are asked to bring a salad or side dish.  Be sure to bring your food in coolers or food safe containers ready to serve.   We have a signup sheet in the foyer for you to volunteer your help for the picnic.  Please sign up or contact Scott Bernhard.
